At Talita, we believe that every child deserves a safe and loving home, access to education, strong values and spiritual guidance.
We provide a caring and supportive environment for our children, and we work hard to ensure that they have access to the education they need to succeed.
Our team is dedicated to helping these children rebuild their lives and giving them the tools they need to thrive.
OUR CHALLENGES.
All the children and Sister Maria eat, sleep, cook and play in a rented, two room building. The only outside play area is the road in front of the home.
The needs of the home are very basic: food, shoes and clothing and money to pay for the rent and school transport.
The home relies heavily on the support and food donations from the local community.
Our volunteers make and sells tamales and other small items to raise money to pay for the rent and other expenses.

Several children have medical conditions and the unexpected bills can require cutting back in other areas.
